“Dance After Dinner” will arrive at the very latest, at least three hours before your event starts, ensuring that set up and sound checking is completed prior to the arrival of your guests.
A dedicated radio/wireless microphone will be supplied free of charge for the use of speeches by your Toastmaster and Worshipful Master.
“Masonic Grace” and "The Ladies Song" are performed via keyboard & flute and you will be asked at the time of signing contracts to give approximate times when you would like these performed. Please note, that we are able to sing "Grace" if required, but as there are now seven versions of the "Ladies Song" with different variations, not only with melodies but lyrics, we feel this best left to your Toastmaster or equivalent. With regard to the latter, Dance After Dinner have learned the most popular version of the "Ladies Song" being to the tune of "Master's Song" in its original key of C major with three verse and chorus. If you require an alternative version, we are happy to provide a CD player for that purpose.
Suitable low key background music will be played during your meal and on our breaks via pre-recorded music using a professional seamless mix and your Toastmaster can choose to have the option to control the volume and playing of this via a fader on our desk.
The set up will be complete with stage, floor lighting and space allowing, star cloth curtain and side flame effects. Take a look at our photograph library page for different stage sets.
Our performance time would begin after your meal in the form of 3 x 45 or 2 x 60 minute sets, but from experience, formal dinners rarely run to time, so in the event of an over-run we would simply shorten our breaks or play through so that the time booked is provided, we also welcome requests from audience members. Please note, we do not charge for a late finish of say 12.30am/1am, but merely spread the performance time evenly over the evening,
“Dance After Dinner” have two small requests, that meals and refreshment for two be provided and that a private, lockable room with our own key is supplied for storage of equipment/boxes, resting, waiting and changing.
If your function is being held at a hotel, most will provide a bedroom free of charge or at a very nominal rate, on the basis that it is used purely as a changing room and not for an overnight stay. |
